Eating Disorder Recovery Motivation #1

We all need a little motivation from time to time to keep us going. It's important to remember that in recovery we aren't always going to be "happy" and not everything is going to go just to plan. Sometimes we may feel a little disheartened and the negative voices telling us to "give up" and go back to our old behaviours. But it's important to remember that we must keep going and not to give in. Here are some pictures which I keep on my phone for those "down days".

Introductions

Hey. Hi. Good day Hello. As you may be able to tell this is my first post on this new blog, so it's only right that I do an "introduction" post to introduce myself.

My name is Izzy, I'm 18 and I'm from the UK. As I'm 18 I'm currently in my final year of school ever and I am currently studying Business Studies and Health and Social Care (I did study AS Level Media Studies and I got a B but I dropped it at the end of year 12). I only have 4 weeks left of school and I am taking a gap year until I decide what I want to do with my life. I did apply for Mental Health Nursing at university and received an offer which I have decided to defer until September 2016.

I have decided to make a blog so I can ramble about whatever is on my mind at the time. I am currently in recovery for Anorexia and I hope this blog will help bring some positivity in my life. I class my self as being "nearly" fully recovered, but I just need that extra push to get there.

Because of my knowledge of mental health I hope for this blog to become a little resource for any help which people may need, and I hope to do posts about different techniques for coping etc.

I will also be doing "life" related posts and blogging about pretty much whatever comes to mind!

I hope all of this makes sense, and here's to hopefully many more posts!
